Position Summary
Our company is growing rapidly and is looking to fill the hydrogeologist and project manager role.
Key tasks:
- Coordinate all Hydrogeology projects to be conducted in Europe and the Middle East, in the field of geothermal and critical raw material exploration,
- Undertake technical work in accordance with contractual scope of work and budget envelope, and in a professional manner (quality assurance, legal standards), assist the company in expanding its geothermal portfolio,
- Conduct and supervise complex hydrodynamic modelling studies for site evaluations and assessments,
- Contribute to client satisfaction by being responsive and efficient in communication with clients,
- Carry out regional hydrogeology studies,
- Contribute to multidisciplinary site evaluation studies,
- Provide technical advice on complex hydrogeological matters to clients and internal staff, including analysis of designs and assessments, investigations, and water quality studies,
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and carry out detailed phases of work in the framework of our geothermal projects,
- Manage independently specific project tasks, including high-budget and complexity projects under the supervision of project director,
- Develop client relationships and build up business opportunities in the fields of geothermal energy utilization and storage as well as water, and environmental management,
- Conduct groundwater desktop and modelling studies and investigations, including hydraulic and hydrochemical well testing design, operation and analysis,
- Design and supervise installation of water supply, monitoring wells, including geological logging.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Advanced (Master) degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering geology or geologic engineering,
- Expertise in hydrogeology, including geochemistry, geology, and thermal energy knowledge,
- At least 5 years experience and proven track record in the consultancy industry, past O&G experience is a plus,
- Must have strong technical skills and project experience and/or publication record,
- Knowledge of QGIS, hydrodynamic modelling, mapping, and related GIS programmes is a plus,
- Strong Swiss and European water resources experience, ideally in a consultancy environment,
- Willingness to travel, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a willingness to work as part of a group,
- Great ability to multitask and work under pressure and tight deadlines,
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills,
- Strong commitment to quality and time management,
- Fluent in French, English and German.
